Mile End Pizza and Kebab

One of the best takeaways in Mile End! The food here is always fresh, tasty, and made with care. The kebabs are full of flavour, perfectly cooked, and come with generous portions of salad and sauces. The pizzas are just as good – loads of toppings, plenty of cheese, and served piping hot every time.

Service is excellent too – the staff are friendly, welcoming, and quick with orders whether you’re collecting or getting delivery. Prices are very fair for the quality and portion sizes, and you definitely get value for money.

If you’re in East London and craving pizza or kebabs, this is the place to go. Consistently delicious, reliable, and easily a favourite spot. Highly recommended!

Hands down one of the top takeaways in East London! The kebabs are packed with flavour and served with fresh salad and warm bread. The pizzas are generous with toppings and perfectly cooked. Portions are huge, prices are great, and the service is always welcoming. Can’t recommend enough!

Giulia Restaurant

My new favourite place, a true gourmet experience with such special dishes and good size portions. Menu is small but delicious and changes every month. Service is awesome, friendly, professional and very attentive. Came back after one week and planing to go back often.

Giulia is a lovely neighbourhood restaurant with amazing food. The menu changes monthly with focus on seasonal produce, so it is always a fantastic experience (needless to say I go literally every month to try the new menu). Can’t recommend it enough. One of my absolute favourites.

So happy to have booked dinner at this little gem of a restaurant for my girlfriend’s 30th birthday.

We loved all the dishes we ordered - the quality of the ingredients and the combination of flavours really shone through & the service was fantastic.

I've been meaning to leave a review since our last visit in July. Giulia's is a special place. We've been coming here since it first opened and the food has been consistently amazing. We were so lucky to have this authentic Italian restaurant five minutes away from where we lived, and Giulia and her fiancé are a fantastic team. They've created something that is truly rare, with dishes you wouldn't find in hundreds of other Italian restaurants. All delicious because you can see the passion that goes into the flavours. We've moved to Manchester now, but when we're in London next we'll make sure to treat ourselves to a meal at our favourite place, Giulia's. Thank you for always welcoming us and treating us so warmly!

Came here in early July and had a fantastic experience. Both the food and service were sublime. Gulia was warm, attentive, and made us, and other diners,  feel genuinely welcomed. The young man also working the floor was excellent. Every course impressed: the starters, pasta, and mains were beautifully prepared. The pork cheeks,  a recent addition to the menu, I believe, were especially tender and succulent. We’ll definitely be back.

Amor Gastronomia

You pop in for a bite to eat on Holow Rd and then you're whisked away to a local "osteria" in an Italian town. You can practice a few Italian words and get rewarded for trying. The food is good, the atmosphere is friendly. A good option for an evening in the area.

We celebrated my wife’s birthday at Amor Gastronomia and it was absolutely unforgettable. The food was exceptional — full of authentic Italian flavor and beautifully presented.
A special shoutout to Michele, who made the evening truly magical. His warmth, attention to detail, and personal touches elevated the entire experience. He made us feel like family and went above and beyond to make my wife’s night special.
We can’t wait to come back. Highly recommended!

I have been here twice. I met different staff's and they all are friendly. Food quality is good. Lots of options and very tasty. A cosy place with good Italian music. I will cone again for sure.

I went to this place with some friends and tried an excellent pinsa romana as well as some incredible fried gnocchi with gorgonzola. My friends, on the other hand, had a trio of delicious gnocchi and some outstanding paccheri with sausage and mushrooms. We finished off with two very good tiramisù.

I highly recommend this cosy and uniquely decorated restaurant. I’ll definitely be coming back soon to try more dishes and for the vibrant, family-like atmosphere created by the staff.

Circolo Popolare

A detailed mixed review for a Monday night visit. The setting of the restaurant is quite impressive, it’s lovely inside. However it is very popular so is very busy. The tables are extremely close together so it feels like you’re sat on top of your neighbours. The service is very mediocre.

The waitress took the order for your the meal and the first round of drinks that’s about it. I was extremely disappointed to witness a member of staff using the toilet without washing their hands. Quite off putting knowing this when you’ve just eaten your meal.

Food was very tasty and this would be the reason we would visit again. Reasonably priced and good portion sizes.

The dessert however was very disappointing and we felt ripped off when it arrived. £14 for a slice of what tasted like dry shop bought cold chocolate cake. A tiny amount of chocolate sauce on the top didn’t help with the dryness would defo avoid!

Overall a decent experience for the food alone but it sadly lets itself down in many other aspects.

My husband and I went to Circolo Popolare for our anniversary dinner, and it was such a wonderful experience.

The restaurant is absolutely stunning—perfect for a romantic date night. The interiors are beautifully decorated, featuring elegant Italian ceramic plates and a warm, inviting atmosphere. The place is spotless and well-kept, making it a delight to dine in.

Service:
The service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and quick, which made the evening even more enjoyable.

Food:
The quality of ingredients truly matches what you’d expect in Italy. We started with the Trio d’Olive, which was fresh and flavourful, and the Mozzarella in Carrozza—crispy on the outside, perfectly cheesy inside, and served with a delicious tomato sauce.

For my main, I had the Mafaldine al Tartufo, which was incredibly delicious—rich, aromatic, and bursting with truffle flavour. I highly recommend trying this dish.

My husband ordered the Tagliolini Granchio e Limone. It was decent, but didn’t quite match the wow factor of the truffle pasta.

Note: The only downside was that the toilets were a little dirty and had an unpleasant smell. However, this did not take away from the fact that the restaurant itself is really nice, clean, and beautifully maintained.

Overall, we had a memorable anniversary dinner, and I would definitely return—especially for that Mafaldine al Tartufo!

What a beautiful experience!
My husband and I spent our “thanksgiving” here, and we’re not disappointed! We started with the burrata- absolute perfection floating on a delicious tomato reduction. For our main course we paired the ragu with a Sicily wine, it was fresh and delicious. To end our beautiful experience, we had the tiramisu! Both the food, service, and atmosphere were outstanding- we will be back!

From the outside this looks like a quiet unassuming restaurant. Once you get inside it turns into a huge barn-sized place. Interesting decor as all the photos in reviews show. Bottle display is impressive. Because it’s all open inside it can be quite loud with conversation, which combined with the semi-disco feel of the music makes for a high energy vibe. The food choice is varied enough to satisfy most tastes in my opinion. Quality is decent. I had pizza, smashed potatoes and stracciatella. The latter was novel for me and very nice as an appetizer. Service is reasonably efficient although they did forget the pizza order; they recovered quickly and all was well for us. Draft beer is from a local craft brewery. It appears to be an extremely busy place even for lunch, so reservations are a must; you can’t call and bookings are done online. That turned out to be easy and we got a reminder email well in advance. If you want a little bit of a quieter meal ask to be seated at the back behind the kitchen. It’s popular for birthdays and celebrations. Worth a visit if you plan on being in Oxford street.

Went here with my partner for our anniversary and had such a lovely evening. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful – warm lighting, bottles and postcards everywhere, and flowers hanging from the ceiling. Even the toilets are gorgeous with their unique Italian style!

The food was incredible – especially the carbonara, which they make right in front of you in a cheese wheel. The cocktails were great too, and I loved the quirky glasses they came in. The staff were so kind and attentive, and even gave us an anniversary card, which was such a sweet surprise. Paying was super easy through a QR code and Apple Pay.

The only downsides were that it was quite warm inside, and there’s an extra platform charge when paying, which feels a bit unfair.

Overall, it’s a stunning restaurant with amazing food, lovely staff, and a great atmosphere – perfect for a date night or special occasion!

Grasso

I never ever leave reviews but I had to after my experience at Grasso yesterday with my mum. We were running late due to traffic delays and they were super understanding about it. The food was incredible, with huge portion sizes and lovely atmosphere/music! The staff were really friendly too. I would honestly recommend this to everyone!

Really lovely Italian-American restaurant. The Mozzarella Bites were the best I've ever had, as a vegetarian they were able to accommodate doing it not on top of the Nduja sauce and keeping it on the side. It had a good amount of Mozzarella and the hot honey twist was incredible. The pizza tasted New York style with a crispy base and a good amount of sauce on the pizza. We celebrated a birthday and the staff were incredible in assisting with candles, plates for a cake that was bought in from outside. I highly recommend and will be going back.

Very nice restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. We arrived at around 20:15 on a Friday night and only sat down at 21:00 so definitely book in advance. The vibe was chill so we didn’t mind waiting. The service was very quick and the food also arrived quite quickly. Everything was delicious - the sauce was a 10/10.

Grasso is stunning. The staff were all so friendly, attentive, made us feel welcome, the atmosphere was lively yet not overpowering with loud noise or lights, and the food was so good! We had the mozzarella sticks (recommend to share this as the portion is very generous) and I regret not filming a cheese pull because these things kept going! I had the lamb ragu and it was incredibly tender, very well portioned and tasty! We finished by sharing a cheesecake (also recommended as the portion was generous!), tasted so fresh with a very subtle hint of lemon and not too sweet.

We came to celebrate my graduation and the staff made the effort to congratulate me and put little candles in the cheesecake which was a lovely touch.

Absolutely will be coming here again!

We absolutely loved our experience at Grasso! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, creating such a warm and inviting atmosphere. The ambiance was charming, and the food… simply outstanding.
We started with the mozzarella sticks—crispy on the outside, perfectly cheesy on the inside—absolutely delicious. The chicken parm was phenomenal, with tender, juicy chicken and rich, flavorful sauce. And the pizza, A true standout—fresh, flavorful, and baked to perfection. We can’t wait to come back

We came here for my husband’s birthday and had such a lovely evening! The atmosphere was calm and romantic with low lighting, even though it was busy. The pasta and pizza were delicious, and the food overall was really tasty. Our server was super friendly and made the night feel extra special. Highly recommend!

My partner and I have been a handful of times and thd food is always amazing. Today we had wonderful service! We were well looked after by the server Gervasio for my partners birthday meal. Food was amazing and they were super attentive and caring towards a friend who has a few severe allergies. Our food did take a short while to come out but we deduced this might be due to the kitchen doing a full clean down for our friend with allergies before cooking their meal. Thank you so much we will absolutely be back again!

Based on our experience on fancy-decor restaurants that we have been, the foods did not strikingly impress us. But the foods here are exceptional. Perfectly cooked pastas. Intense flavors. Tiramisu and Cheesecake are  a must-try.   Probably placing this as my no.1 in category of Italian restaurants in London so far.

Amazing dinner at Gloria! The food was delicious, the atmosphere warm and lively, and the service very personal. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, making the whole evening even better. Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys great Italian food and a welcoming vibe.

Visited Gloria for a friend's birthday dinner, and we had a lovely meal. Our server Rebecca really looked after us, making us feel very welcome and at home, and happy to make recommendations and explain different dishes and cocktails to us. The focaccia to mop up stracciatella was a delight as were the veal croquettes. Our main of truffle malfadine, served from a pecorino wheel, was tasty but very filling, meaning we could sadly not manage dessert, but we did have some great digestifs to compensate. The atmosphere was buzzing and leafy settings very pretty. My only gripe would be that the lighting was turned down low very early in the evening - I saw several diners switching on their phone lights to read the menu - but overall we had a great time and would be keen to dine in their other venues.

Doppo

Had a lovely meal here this weekend for my birthday. Service was lovely, very friendly and made good recommendations for the food and wine. A few times we were waiting a little longer than we’d have liked to be asked/served a drink but this didn’t spoil our experience.

The special truffle pasta and lamb cutlets were lovely, and the complimentary drink on arrival was a nice touch.

Had a fantastic Sunday lunch at Doppo. We came for the Sunday roast - it was genuinely one of the best I've had.
Rich, perfectly cooked, and full of flavour. The portions were very generous, we definitely left fuller than expected!
What really made the experience stand out was the service. Our waitress and the sommelier were both incredibly friendly.

A very small and cozy restaurant. Perfect for a date in the evening or for a family gathering on the weekend.
Offers a set menu on Sunday, with a choice of 3 starters (we went for anchovies and burrata) and a roast which is served  with broccoli and potatoes.

Amazing desserts and wine selection offering 700+ wines.
Strongly recommend.

I cannot say enough good things about Doppo! The hospitality and food are unmatched, rivaling that of a Michelin-starred experience (with a cozier atmosphere). Emilia, the owner, is beyond thoughtful, making sure each of her guests is taken care of, from welcome drinks to finishing the evening off with a sweet dessert wine - offering non-alcoholic options too. While I don't personally drink, Beppe, Doppo's in-house sommelier, provided endless knowledge for my wine drinking friends. And Doppo is no joke in the wine department; they've won several prestigious wine awards.

Our dinner's standout tastes included the locally sourced burrata, arancini, pappardelle ragu, tiramisu, and the bread - St. JOHN sourdough no less. If you have allergy restrictions, give the restaurant a heads up and they'll do their best to accommodate. We will definitely be back again. I cannot recommend a better place to catch up with friends, celebrate a job promotion, have a date night, or even host an event (on their second floor overlooking Dean Street). Doppo is one to watch!

The food was excellent.  Service got us to our show on time while never feeling rushed.  My favorite was the extensive wine list paired with a fantastic sommelier.

I’ve been here twice now, and both times were great! The portions are huge. The big breakfast is no joke. The food is delicious, and the service is amazing. The pesto was so good that my friend even got one to take away. I haven’t tried any of their desserts yet, but I’ll definitely be back to give them a go!

First time coming here. The environment, staff and service was incredible. Such a warm, friendly and cosy environment with speedy service despite it being crazy busy. We were fortunate enough to meet the siblings Navio Jnr and Anna who were so funny and inviting. We ordered the veggie breakfast with a side of big bang ciabatta which was so delicious and their homemade pesto is to die for.

Aw man, I wish there were more cafe restaurants like this everywhere. The good old days still lives in this establishment. The old cockney hospitality from days gone are still present in this amazing little place. The food is outstanding. I own two Italian restaurants and I can tell the food here is nothing short of delicious, authentic and fresh. The owner (Pellici) still cooks every plate in the kitchen but still has time to laugh and play with all the customers. His wife is amazing. The staff is amazing, the food is amazing and the atmosphere is second to non. Love this place, thank you.

Got the Have the Lot (meat) and portion sizes were huge. 2 plates for 3 was enough. Special mention to the white sausage and fried toast, both were absolutely delicious. Space was slightly small and the queue can get quite long out the door. Owner was friendly and always checked in on the food and food was served quick!

Lovely restaurant with delicious food! Make sure you book online, it requires a credit card to secure the booking on OpenTable.

Mattia was our waiter and absolutely lovely. He was very efficient and humorous too! I appreciated his help with the menu and it was a pleasure watching him masterfully mixing drinks!

The food was all lovely. The seafood was all done beautifully and not at all overcooked. All of the pasta was fresh and very tasty. Highly recommend the calzone, I loved the contrasting textures and how the tastes blended together beautifully in each bite! I thought that perhaps the salad could have done with a touch more salt, however it was a nice contrast to the other dishes. Note the other dishes were all seasoned wonderfully.

We particularly enjoyed the complimentary basket of bread. Really delicious selection and it had the perfect amount of sea salt. The tomatoes there were absolutely great, far beyond the normal ones you can get. Adds to the authentic feeling of this Italian restaurant!

The toilets are located downstairs. They are very clean and pleasant. It’s in keeping with the rest of the restaurant, which is well decorated both inside and out.

If you require one, there is a baby seat, it is located downstairs. I don’t believe there is a kids menu. The ragu is very good though and a good size for two young children to share (YMMV).

Prices are a little high here, however you definitely get what you pay for! Highly recommend for anyone looking to treat themselves!

Absolutely delicious! The pomodoro was authentic and full of flavor, but what really made the experience stand out was the special touch of having fresh basil cut right into the olive oil for dipping bread—simple, but unforgettable. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and every bite felt like a little trip to Naples. A truly lovely experience and a meal I’ll be thinking about long after London.

A lovely family gathering at this cozy Italian restaurant. All the dishes were perfectly prepared and well cooked. I recommend the Paccheri alla Scorfano and La Parmigiana di Melanzane. My daughter loved the Pasta Ammiscata Patate e Provola. The service was excellent as well.

We had the Black Truffle Pizza and the Parmigiana Party — both were sooo flavourful and perfectly seasoned! The vegan cheese made the pizzas super creamy and delicious. The dough was soft with a little chew, just right for that perfect crust texture. 🍕✨

I love how they use the real pizza oven — makes everything taste so fresh and amazing. The vibe in the restaurant is really good too.

I’m Italian, and I can say with absolute certainty it’s one of the best pizzas I’ve ever eaten. The taste is just like a real, authentic one, yet it’s completely plant-based. They offer different types of dough, and the sourdough is incredibly delicious, light, tasty, and it leaves you feeling great, without any bloating.

The staff are very nice, friendly, and professional. I had the pizza Parmigiana and the tiramisù, and both were absolutely mouth-watering. I only wish I could stay longer in London to go back there again!

1. If you are not used to vegan pizza, you might find it quite different from the classic one (e.g. the cheese didn't taste like the standard counterpart)

4. We liked the parmigiana pizza and the veggie, but not the margherita 😢

6. The service was really great: Greg was very helpful and kind, and he even offered to take the gluten-free pizza off the bill when we complained about it

Fatto a Mano Bethnal Green

My boyfriend and I have been several times eating in Fatto a Mano in Bethnal Green and it was great every time we went! The food is amazing and the staff is wonderful, specially Amanda and Jess who were very kind and helpful all the time. We also have a treat from a promotion/prize!

A fabulous pizza restaurant with outdoor and indoor seating. It was lovely to enjoy the late afternoon light. The pizzas were amazing, the chewiness of the crust is stunning and the toppings were flavourful and juicy. I loved the ‘njuda pizza, it had the perfect amount of heat. I found the desserts less notable than the pizzas.

I finally made it to Fatto a Mano in Bethnal Green, and wow, what an experience!

Now, let’s talk about the Arrabbiata Pizza. As someone who loves a little spice, this was an absolute game-changer.
Every bite was a perfect balance of heat and freshness!

Beyond the food, the service was fantastic. The staff were super friendly, passionate about their menu, and made sure everything was perfect.

Brilliant new local place. Such amazing vegan pizzas (and garlic fries), great drinks and lovely pizzas and dips. Highly recommended and our servers (one was called Ayeesha and the other was a lovely and tall person) were amazing.

The special Ti Amo Napoli is one of the most disgusting pizzas I’ve ever eaten. It has an extremely sharp taste most likely from the green sauce that makes it inedible. However what made this one of my worst culinary experiences was the two long brown hairs in two of the slices. See photos, absolutely disgusting, will never be ordering from here again.

The Chelsea Corner

As a tourist, I felt absolutely welcome here. The service, and our waiter, Rose, were nothing short of amazing. We first ordered drinks and they were very good, and then we ordered our food. Rose forgot to put in our orders at first, which wasn’t a big deal. We are all humans, we make mistakes, but in light of that, she gave us a free round of drinks. Rose was a very great waitress. Very cordial, professional, and friendly. Our food was absolutely delicious and it was overall a 10/10 experience. If I’m ever back in London, I will for sure be coming back here.

Our dinner tonight at the Chelsea Corner was hands down the best dinner we’ve had on our 9 day trip to London. Carl and Francis took excellent care of us and made sure we were well taken care of. The Mozzarella garlic bread with caramelized onions was the perfect start to our meal. The pasta was fresh with perfect portion and  presentation. I had the prawns, another had the bolognese special, and my daughter only wanted chicken Alfredo, which wasn’t on the menu, but they made it for her and it was delicious! We finished with sorbet and tiramisu which were both light and refreshing. Gent, the bartender, poured excellent drinks and remembered our special orders. If you’re like us and tired of pub food and want something different and satisfying, look no further than Chelsea Corner! I wish it wasn’t so far away from New Jersey. It’s saved for next time though!

Casa Fofó

Nice food. Some dishes were over salty. I ordered 3 non-alcoholic drinks to rinse my palette in addition to water. The lamb in the main dish was rather too small to properly taste and enjoy. In general, the design of the tasting menu was good though, but the saltiness was probably due to the prepared sauce and ingredients getting too condensed when re-heated. The chef should have easily resolved the problem by testing and tasting while cooking and before serving from time to time.

We had a private experience for a friends 30th. We were looked after so well and the food was absolutely remarkable. I would also say it was playful and exciting with the flavours. It’s a seasonal menu so depending when you you might have totally different options. I’d recommend the orange wine and white wines. It was an unforgettable evening and the team and chefs are so professional. Would love to go back if my purse can handle it!

Came for dinner with two friends and everything about our experience was perfect. The staff were incredible friendly and so knowledgeable about the menu. The restaurant its self is so beautiful and the open kitchen is such a lovely experience to watch the chef cook away! The food was absolutely incredible from start to finish I was blown away, It’s a set menu and each course was different and so interesting! The wine list is incredible and the homemade kombucha is something special, Highly recommend to everyone !

I wasn’t overly amazed by the food and felt that a few dishes were a little too salty and had clashing flavours.
The kitchen was kind enough to cater to a vegetarian diner that was part of our party, and made a different set menu for them (we informed/asked them in advance about this).
The atmosphere was quite nice. The open kitchen and fact that it’s tucked away on a random street in Hackney sets the scene for a relaxed setting.

Have been wanting to try this place for ages and keep putting it off because of where it is located. We were both really impressed about the tasting menu, very innovative cuisine with combination of flavors that we haven’t tried before. The sichuan peppercorn pasta gives a subtle kick while compliments the rest really well.
Great value tasting menu (even more shocked to find services already included). Decent wine list. The menu changes often so we can’t wait to be back.

Yokoso Restaurant - Japanese & Italian Cuisine

At first I was confused about the fusion of cuisines but I shouldn’t have judged a book by its cover because the food was fantastic.

My favourite was the beef ramen and the wood fired pizzas.

The sushi and sashimi admittedly could have had more finesse but I won’t hold that against them because it tasted great.

The fried chicken bites were crispy and packed with flavour, and the accompanying spicy mayo was delicious.

Even the tap water was tasty with the addition of cucumber and lemon.

The kids also loved to see the fish in the centre of the restaurant.

Intrigued by the sign, "Authentic Japanese and Italian Restaurant," my family and I ventured into this lovely restaurant. The place looks great, clean and tidy, with an open kitchen and well-dressed chefs. Every time you make eye contact with them, they smile or ask if you need anything. The restaurant manager greeted us; she was very professional and kind, making us feel at ease right away and was attentive and attentive throughout the service. Despite being Italian, I haven't tried the Italian cuisine; I try that every day at home, so I didn't try any dishes. Obviously, I came in for the Japanese. As with almost all Japanese restaurants, we're talking about Euro-Japanese dishes, quite well-made and reasonably priced. The flavors are good, and I even found a few welcome specials. Overall, I had a good experience. I recommend it.

Yokoso offers incredibly fresh and delicious Italian and Japanese dishes—both are equally impressive. The flavors were amazing, and the service was outstanding. Roberta was a fantastic waitress—friendly, attentive, and professional. A truly enjoyable dining experience. Highly recommended!

The sushi was amazing and very authentic. All the dishes we ordered tasted delicious. The staff were all friendly and attentive and they even made us a special mango drink which was very yummy.  He even helped us take some very good photos, attached to the review :) The restaurant decor is modern and everything was very clean. Highly recommend and will definitely be returning! Thank you!

The vibe was really nice, the food was also really good we ordered from the Japanese menu and it was all really nice, especially the noodles and the cooked sushi. The staff recommended an off the menu special mango drink that was really good. Overall service was really good and they even gave us a complimentary dessert at the end. Would definitely come back again.

Bocca di Lupo

This restaurant has been on my list for ages and I’m glad I finally came here! Service is so friendly and they make you feel very welcome. Every dish we ordered was beautifully served and tasted amazing! They even gave me a little birthday card and ice cream because it was my birthday! Love an Italian restaurant but this place is extra special! Will definitely be returning.

Popped in for lunch without a booking. Shown seats at the counter, which is by far the best! The menu is split between areas of Italy and you can go on a full culinary tour!
The service is excellent. you have the feeling of being treated like a beloved regular, even if it’s your first time.

I finally made it to Bocca di Lupo — and as an Italian, I can honestly say the food was delicious. It was a fantastic lads’ night!

We started with Manhattans on arrival, then enjoyed at the table:

I recently dined at Bocca di Lupo under somewhat unusual circumstances, as I had lost my voice just before the visit. Despite this, the staff were incredibly kind, patient, and accommodating, making the experience feel seamless and comfortable.

The food was delicious. We especially enjoyed the risotto and the asparagus. Both were full of flavour and really well done. Everything we tried was delicious. I can't wait to visit again.

Padella

Fantastic little restaurant with friendly staff and quick service. Our host (sadly didn’t catch his name) was very welcoming, recommended serval dishes and provided a complimentary glass of wine. Food was served fast and hot. The tiramisu for dessert was to die for. Couldn’t recommend enough and will definitely be back :)

Loved our experience at Padella! We visited for the first time for lunch and arrived right as it opened for the day, which helped as the restaurant filled up quickly. Staff were courteous and friendly, and the kitchen was a well-oiled machine. Seated at the bar, we got a front row view of the action, which was part of the charm (highly recommend)! The pasta was well made and if you’re visiting London, you gotta check Padella out!

I appreciated the warm welcome. I was seated promptly and even allowed to change seats. The waitress, Nura, helped me with my order,  her suggestions were exceptional. I went for the Dexter beef shin ragu with Primitivo and Chianti. Let’s just say this is my new pasta spot. Can’t wait to come back. Thank you 🙏

I loved Padella. It was my first time eating here, and I would definitely recommend again and again! Will definitely be returning. The food was creamy, flavoursome and probably one of the best Italian places I have visited. Also in a great location, if you want to get desserts after from near-by!

I came here for dinner by myself.

Overall, this place has a Bailie, unique and magical ambience. The interior of an old chapel is one of the more unique and charming Settings for a restaurant that I have ever seen.

I will say that my expectations were very high, as a place has Michelin  star. Overall, the Service was very good, but not extraordinary. The food was excellent, but again – I was not as impressed with the food as I would have expected – I feel the food that I got at sketch. Two nights ago was much more, outstanding, and culinary. Perfect and unique.

Overall, I would be unlikely to return at the Price point, but it is a quality restaurant, and I do feel that it is deserving of it status.

Loved my experience here for a romantic date. The place itself is truly a vibe, I was mesmerised by the sheer size of the architecture. Our server was amazing and so attentive. We went for the tasting menu and it was so decadent and perde for the start of autumn. We loved everything but the desserts, they weren’t particularly outstanding.

We had dinner at Galvin La Chapelle and it was excellent. For a Michelin Star, the price for the summer special was very affordable. The dishes were all excellent. If you are starving, it might not have been quite enough food but it was all very tasty for a great price.

The service was also excellent here - warm and inviting.

I had the 7 course + 1 tasting menu with the wine pairings.  I have gone to many restaurants in my time and I would have to rate this one among the best.  The vegetarian tasting menu was inventive and decadent.  I thoroughly enjoyed every single thing.  The service level was world class.  Absolutely breathtaking building.  Go there now.

We had a birthday Sunday lunch here. The appetizer was exceptional, and we especially enjoyed the seabass. The sourdough with lemon and pepper butter was also delicious.

However, the main dishes were just fair. They were tasty, but we expected more from a Michelin restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised when the restaurant offered us a birthday dessert. Lovely!

Salt Yard

Lovely atmosphere, great food and drinks. We especially enjoyed the octopus and the tuna! The cocktails were also delicious. One downside was the drinks took too long to come out, but was not an issue in the end. Will definitely be coming back!

Delicious Spanish food and lovely atmosphere. The vibe is order a bunch of dishes to share between yourselves. Highly recommend trying the octopus and the courgette flower - very tasty. The lamb is also very good. Great value for money

Every dish was amazing. Especially the croquetas, courgette flower, lamb, Patatas bravas and churros. The wine was great, they had a really good selection with descriptions on the menu. The staff were all lovely and attentive. The decor was nice as was the music and general atmosphere. I’d recommend booking as they did turn people away when we were there as they were fully booked. We ate pre theatre which was great because it’s a lot quieter area then closer to the theatres and it’s only a 16minute walk away.

It can feel like roulette picking a place to eat in the west end - but as we stepped inside this unassuming place on Goodge Street we were immediately enthused by the relaxed vibe. A mid afternoon slot meant the place was quiet but far from dead - with some decent tunes in the background and a couple of other sets of dinners for company. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Our cocktails were on point and slipped down quickly. All dishes were very tasty and well executed. The house white was fresh and nice and chilled. For me, a highlight was the Basque cake desert. Overall we ate and drank well for under £150 including service - which isn’t too bad in the centre of town. A really safe option in an ocean of choice.

Hip cafe focused on egg dishes, from omelets to eggy pastas, in casual digs with juices and liquor.

Eggbreak

We had to download an app in order to book a table. The menu had a great selection of egg dishes, all very tasty and different. It also had sweet dishes and salads. The food was tasty and flavours were great but it is quite pricey for eggs. Service was great. The atmosphere was nothing special.

I stopped by Eggbreak around 9:30 AM without a reservation and was pleasantly surprised to be seated after just a short 10-minute wait, not bad at all for such a popular spot.

The place itself is lovely. The interior has a warm, inviting charm that instantly makes you feel relaxed, and the atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between buzzing and cozy. What stood out just as much was the team, genuinely friendly, always smiling, and attentive without being overbearing. That kind of service goes a long way.

Food and drinks came out quickly, which was impressive given how busy it was. I was tempted to order the whole menu (seriously, everything looked amazing), but I went with the Turkish eggs, and they were absolutely excellent. Rich, flavorful, and satisfying enough to carry me through the day.

All in all, Eggbreak delivered on every level, great vibe, kind service, and food that truly hits the spot. I’ll definitely be back, and maybe next time, I will try everything on the menu

Small cafe (watch your head of you're tall!) with great food options for breakfast and brunch. The coffee is also really nice (free refills on the house brew). They also offer gluten free bread that was toasted to perfection.
There will likely be a cue when you arrive but it's worth the wait.

Eggbreak had been on my list since I moved to London a year ago. It’s a very popular spot, especially with tourists in the Notting Hill area, so I went in with high expectations. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing.

Food:
I tried the Egg, Bacon & Cheese Toastie, it looked great but tasted very average, nothing special.

I also ordered Ari’s Pancakes, but couldn’t finish them as the bananas were not fresh, which was off-putting.

I ordered a pot of tea as well, but the tea strainer provided was clearly not clean (as shown in my photos), which was another let-down.

Service & Atmosphere:
The place was very busy, and while that reflects its popularity, the staff seemed rushed and a bit erratic. Service felt inattentive overall.

Overall:
Given all the hype, I expected much better food and service. There are far better breakfast places in London, and I don’t think I’ll be returning to Eggbreak. It would also be hard for me to recommend it to others.

Chill vibes, and a small, quaint atmosphere, makes this place a romantic-like dining spot.
Great service, great food.
We enjoyed the 24hr skimmed ragu spaghetti.  Super yummy.
Brownie and pear desert were a nice finishing touch.

It's not that the food was absolutely delicious and outstanding, no, it's not supposed to be! The food was put simply, perfect! Wine selection is ok too.

5 stars for food and service. It shows their strong tradition.
Would give 5 stars to atmosphere as well, it it wasn't for the cigarette smoke coming from people sitting outside, it kinda of ruined the amazing taste of a well made Italian pasta...

Perhaps they should invest on a HVAC or tweak the sitting for the smokers outside, because eating an ash tray is not cool.

We really enjoyed going to this restaurant.  Location is great with views of the wharf. Food was delicious.  Well presented and tasty. Wine list and cocktails is great as well.
And the service, especially for us a party of over 20, was superb.
Highly recommended for big or small parties.

Buon Appetito

I ordered a few times the paccheri con salsiccia and it was amazing except one time and todat. There must be two different chefs cause today it was one of the worst pasta dish I had and I am not even sure what was meant to be as it definitely not easy what I ordered.

It's a shame but gamble my dinner on who is cooking it, won't be ordering again.

La Bella napoli

I visited La Bella Napoli with my friends in London during my birthday trip, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! Even though it was late at night, Chef Bari and his amazing team welcomed us so warmly and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Every single dish was made fresh, full of flavor, and absolutely delicious.

What stood out the most was their incredible hospitality—they didn’t just serve us food, they created a fun, memorable night that made us feel like family. It was the perfect way to celebrate, and I’m so grateful for the kindness and energy they shared with us.

The Pizza Room - Mile End

As an Italian (born and bred) I was incredibly impressed with the quality of food at the Pizza Room, one of the best pizzas I’ve had in the UK by far! The quality of the ingredients was amazing, I genuinely felt like I was back home in Italy for a night. The quality of service was also impressive, both Ashok and Debora are super kind, patient (especially with recommendations) and attentive. Also loved the choice of music (some of my favourite songs ever!) and Halloween decorations were a plus, loved the atmosphere. I will definitely be going back! Grazie ancora

Had this pizza delivered on Friday night. I quickly realised that there was something wrong with the pizza. 2 slices seemed to not belong to this pizza but added to fit in it, but you can see from the colour and the cut that don’t match with the rest of the pizza. Disgusting! I was forced to bin and order from somewhere else. First and last time that I order from here.

I was here with my cousins to try their pizza. The last pizza ( Truffle and mushroom pizza) was the best I ate till now. The cold mozzarella on the top was the plus and it was like a blast of taste in my mouth❤️. It’s worth trying.

Late in the evening, warned me that they would close soon but let me order. And excellent thin base authentic pizza. Served promptly, a sign of quality. Excellent work by the cook Likita and friendly and practical server Nicholas.

Not the worst pizza but also not the best. Table space near the fridge means one doesn't have enough elbow space when cutting the pizza. I lived in Italy for 10 years, I know good pizza. Their pizza is on the same level as reasonable tourist pizza.

Service was as should be expected, staff were polite and professional.

Perfetto Pizza ( Bethnal Green )

It’s was a phenomenal bite! Taste of their pizza 9/10 really good pizza chef here and their service is friendly as always highly recommended ⚡️👌

The name speaks for its self, the pizza there is made from fresh ingredients and it leaves you feeling satisfied unlike other greasy fast foods. The staff and service is exceptional, the price is amazing especially for students. Would definitely recommend.

Ordered for the first time. Definitely ordering again. Absolutely delicious pizza. The dough was just perfect and super fresh. Flavours were great. This was a home delivery so cannot comments on restaurant atmosphere etc.

I've had food from here twice in the last couple months or so. The food was okay, nothing to write home about but it's your usual London chicken shop / PFC style experience.

First time I had Doner kebab and chips, it wasn't the masala fried type, but it was the plain type of Doner kebab, chopped up and I assume fried again because it was really greasy/oily. Overcooked too because it was borderline on the hard side, but still tasted okay and managed to finish it satisfied.

I had a 7" beef pizza more recently, and it tasted good, but it's the usual type of pizza you'd expect from most pizza places in East London at least (similar to the likes of Mario's pizza, Pizza GoGo, Tops Pizza etc.). Again, this isn't a negative point, as these are all places many people enjoy eating from.

The store atmosphere was good and the staff were quiet but straightforward no-fuss and I appreciate that.

Food is Halal, and they allow you to order in advance by phone for collection, or you can probably order via a delivery app like just eat or Uber eats.

While the food may not be nothing amazing to write home about, it's always good to support your local smaller businesses so if you're feeling in a cheaty mood, give them a go 😊

Bancone Covent Garden

Let me start off with their famous Silk Handkerchiefs Walnut Butter pasta: it is flawless, I can still remember the taste and feeling, definetelt would wanna eat it again. Additionally Cacio and Pepe was equally good. We also tried burrata, which is nice but a bit pricey compared to what you get.

We visitied Bancone in an early afternoon, no reservation and we were seated in 5 minutes. It is open kitchen and as we were eating we were also able to watch kitchen, which was really fun.

My only negative point is that they only accept card

We were seated on the counter and enjoyed the artichoke, sourdough, signature carbonara and gnocchi. To be honest we really found everything very tasty, the price a bit high. Pasta were all dente and tasty, and all sauces were very interesting. It wasnt just a classic sauce but there was a specific spin to it. The service was nice but quite slow. Decoration wise, it wasnt anything fancy, it is quite small and narrow. Though it is nice to see the staff cooking in front of you.

- Incredible. Definitely coming back. Pasta was absolutely perfectly cooked to an al dente that was so satisfying. The kale sauce was the best (and cheapest). It paired so well with the white wine the lovely waitress suggested. Crab bucatini was also banging but wouldn’t get beef nduja again. The focaccia was so fluffy and great evoo. Ricotta was super lemony-so interesting. Lovely staff, lovely ambience, amazing pasta. Even tho pricey & smallish portions I’d say quality is so good it’s good value

Manteca is a real gem of London showcasing refined Italian cuisine and extensive wine list. The menu is meant to be shared, so bring your friends, grab some wine and enjoy. The flavors are excellent and you will walk away from the meal feeling fulfilled. There are subtle technique changes that could be made to the dishes that would further elevate their offerings, but the flavor is what matters and Manteca does not disappoint in that department.

Lovely restaurant. We ordered coppa, beef shin fritti, and focaccia as entrees. Ewe chop and fazzoletti as main dish, finished with a chocolate tart. Everything was well cooked and taste great. Highly recommended!

I had an amazing experience! I enjoyed the crab cacio e pepe (they offer gluten-free pasta), and the steak was perfectly cooked and delicious.
