Gorgeous dining experience! 🫶🏽 I came here with 7 friends to celebrate a birthday and we had the loveliest time. The food was excellent and the atmosphere and service were lovely. We were very lucky to be served by Marina, who went above and beyond to take care of our table, and even took some Polaroids of us to take home as a birthday present. So wholesome 🥰 would definitely recommend to a friend!

Note that this review is specifically for the Taco Tuesday bottomless tacos. I thought the quality of the meats was perfectly fine - the beef was tender and fatty, and the chicken was not dry and had a satisfying crunch. However for a Korean fusion restaurant, these tacos severely lacked any Korean influence. The only element that tasted remotely Korean was the small pot of ssamjang sauce served alongside the tacos. They could’ve done much more with the flavouring to really emphasise that this was Korean fusion cuisine.

I did like the slaw though - it was crunchy, slightly bitter, and complemented the tacos well. On the other hand, we were perplexed by the aubergine and mushroom filling. The menu listed fried cauliflower, which would’ve made a bit more sense, since a crunchy fried filling would’ve been a nice contrast to the soft flour taco. This filling however, felt completely out of place and didn’t belong in a taco. It was too soft and saucy, the flavours leaned more Mediterranean than Korean, and it didn’t hold up well in a soft flour tortilla - it would’ve been better served over rice. If not fried cauliflower, fried enoki mushrooms would’ve worked well too?

Service was good, but nothing exceptional. It wasn’t really an issue to ask for more rounds after finishing the tray.

I think with some adjustments, this deal could be worth going for.

Had a lovely lunch - the stone pot veggie and bibimbap special were good! The peppers with cheese as well but the other options felt a bit more exciting and flavorful

Stopped by for dinner before going to the theatre, it's on the third floor of kingly court but there are lifts, we got there at 5pm on a Saturday and got sat straight away but it did get a little busy from 6pm onwards. There was a great choice on the menu, everything was so tasty. The fried chicken was so crispy and delicious. I also really loved the cheesey peppers, it wasn't too spicy and still had loads of flavour, and the wedge salad was (surprisingly) my favourite dish!! Id recommend getting 4-5 dishes between 2, we also got 2 corn dogs and I think that was too much. Reasonable prices for the portion and quality. The staff were also really friendly and helpful, they made a mistake with one of our dishes but we're very quick to rectify it, id definitely recommend a visit here!

Overall, we found the food to be just ok, nothing special. Our experience was tainted by the unexpected service charge.

We did the tasting menu that had a lot of food but most of it tasted mediocre. The best thing was the kimchi stone pot stew and the slaw that comes with the tacos. Everything else - fried chicken, bacon mochi, cheese stuffed peppers, al pastor chicken, ice cream - all tasted pretty mediocre. The amount of mayo on fried chicken overwhelms anything else; the al pastor chicken tastes only of sweetness and it was served cold, not hot; the ice cream was super boring. Flavors were not on point, every dish felt like it was missing something. I wanted to like this restaurant in the name of Korean fusion food but unfortunately it missed the mark completely.

We paid at the end and after paying realized they had added a 12.5% service charge for our table of 2 persons. This was not mentioned when seated or ordering. So, on top of the mediocre food, this unexpected charge soured our experience. I doubt we’ll return.

Smart modern Korean restaurant with large menu of classic kimchi cabbage and banchan side dishes.

Arang Restaurant

We recently visited this restaurant and had such an incredible experience from start to finish! The atmosphere was warm, lively, and welcoming, perfect for enjoying a hearty Korean meal. We also had an amazing server SJ, who served the three of us and was attentive the whole time.

Recommendation Dishes:
Jajangmyeon with beef, Kimchi pancakes, tteokbokki with cheese, beef bimbibap.

For any Muslims coming here, there's plenty of halal dishes and you can substitute the pork with alternatives like beef, seafood or chicken.

The food was absolutely delicious. The tteokbokki had just the right amount of spice and sweetness, with chewy rice cakes that were cooked perfectly. The kimchi pancake was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, packed with flavour and easily one of the best we’ve tried. The jajangmyeon with beef was rich and savoury, with a delicious flavour that paired so well with the noodles. The sides from the kitchen were also fantastic, everything from the kimchi to the pickled radish and other small dishes tasted fresh, well-seasoned, and perfectly complemented the mains. You can really tell that care and attention go into every dish.

We also tried the miso soup, which had a gentle umami flavour and a great palate cleanser between dishes. Personally, I found it a little mild for my taste, but my friends really enjoyed it, describing it as wonderfully soothing and comforting. It's like the kind of warm soup you’d crave when you’re feeling under the weather.

We ordered a few other dishes too, including the japchae, bibimbap, and mandu. The japchae had a good texture, the glass noodles were slightly bouncy but it wasn’t as flavourful as the other dishes we tried, so it felt a little dry and underwhelming in comparison. The bibimbap was enjoyable and nicely presented, though since we ordered quite a variety, it was naturally a bit overshadowed by the stronger flavours of the tteokbokki and jajangmyeon. The mandu was good, though it wasn’t particularly standout compared to the other dishes on the table.

But what truly made the evening special was the outstanding service from SJ. He was friendly, professional, and incredibly attentive throughout our meal. He checked in at just the right moments, made thoughtful recommendations, and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and happy. His positive energy and genuine hospitality really stood out and made our dining experience unforgettable.

We’ll definitely be coming back, not only for the amazing food but also because SJ made us feel so welcome. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great Korean food and top-tier service!

This restaurant was such a discovery! We ate so well today. The portions are big, the food is super tasty and the girl working was very nice. They play Kpop and the prices are totally ok for the center of London (actually cheaper than many other restaurants we saw).

Food was so good! I had Bulgogi set menu with my friend and could try so many different things. After the meal, they even served fruit! I definitely want to go again :)

Arang has a proper authentic Korean feel, and it’s super easy to get to, just a few minutes’ walk from Piccadilly. The menu’s got loads of choice and the service was really attentive. We went for the BBQ, which came with all the sides (even though that’s not totally clear on the menu), plus a few other dishes. Everything was really tasty.

We had a lovely meal here and were especially impressed by the warm service. The food was cleanly presented and well-prepared across the board.

We ordered samgyeopsal (grilled pork belly), and while the meat was fresh and nicely grilled, do note that you need to order lettuce (sangchu) and green onion salad (pa-jeori) separately if you want the full Korean BBQ experience.

The seolleongtang (ox bone soup) came with plenty of noodles and egg, offering a comforting, mild flavor. The haemul-pajeon (seafood pancake) was crisp and flavorful, packed with seafood. The dolsot-bibimbap (stone pot bibimbap) was deliciously well-balanced, with a perfect mix of textures and flavors.

One particularly touching gesture was when the staff kindly offered roasted seaweed and fruit for the children — a warm and thoughtful touch that made us feel truly welcome.

Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic Korean food with exceptional hospitality.

Shahs Halal Food Soho

One of the best halal food places I’ve tried in Central London near the BT Tower! The taste is unmatched, portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable. The staff are friendly and supportive, making the whole experience even better. They also have a convenient self-checkout system for ordering food, which is quick and easy. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for top-quality halal food in London.

The food was decent, but the experience didn’t quite live up to expectations. The service was slow—we waited in a long queue just to get our portion, and the cramped seating made it hard to enjoy the meal comfortably. The chicken had an oddly artificial texture, which was disappointing for the price.

If you’re looking for a quick, reliable bite in the area, you might find better value elsewhere. Hopefully, they can improve on speed and quality control!

Chicken on salad was delicious, and an amazing value. White sauce tasted kinda like ranch. Green sauce is minty. Red sauce has a nice kick.

£10.5 with extra protein.

Absolutely amazing experience at Shah’s Halal Food in Soho. The food was fresh, packed with flavor, and perfectly cooked — I had the [insert dish, e.g. chicken over rice], and it was honestly one of the best halal meals I’ve had in London.

The service was 10/10 — super friendly, fast, and welcoming. You can tell the team really cares about their food and their customers.

Highly recommend if you’re in Soho and craving something delicious, filling, and halal. Will definitely be coming back!

Hakkasan

I first came to Hakkasan back in 2016 — nine years ago — and I’ve been in love with this place ever since. Few restaurants in London have managed to maintain such a consistent level of excellence over time. Every visit feels just as special as the first.

From the moment you step in, the atmosphere envelops you: dim lighting, elegant music, and that signature balance of modern luxury and intimacy that only Hakkasan can create. The service is always refined yet relaxed, perfectly matching the restaurant’s understated sophistication.

The food remains absolutely outstanding. The crispy duck salad, the black truffle roasted duck, and the legendary pipa duck are on another level — perfectly cooked, flavourful, and beautifully presented. The dim sum selection and wagyu beef dishes are equally impressive, with every bite showing precision and artistry.

Over the years, Hakkasan has never lost its magic. It continues to set the standard for contemporary Cantonese cuisine in London — a place where perfection feels effortless. Whether for a celebration or a quiet dinner, it remains one of my all-time favourites.

Simply exceptional — from the duck to the cocktails, everything is top-tier.

We had an amazing time at Hakkasan Mayfair. We visited before but came back again. Love this place. The dimsums are just amazing. The food is amazing as usual. But what’s also really great is the ambience and the warmth with which you are received and hosted every single time. It was an amazing meal from such amazing hosts.

I am deeply disappointed by my experience at this restaurant. The environment was far from pleasant — the basement dining area was extremely noisy, with loud music and people shouting over each other. It felt more like a chaotic market than a restaurant.
Despite the place not being full, the food took an unreasonably long time to arrive. When I asked about it, the waiter casually said the kitchen was busy. I ordered the second most expensive set menu, expecting a quality meal, but it was a complete letdown. None of the dishes were tasty or authentic. The roast duck and dim sum were just acceptable, but everything else was barely edible. At least three dishes were so unpleasant that we asked the waiter to take them away after just one bite. Most of the food was overly sour, strange, and unbalanced — the so-called “champagne honey fish” even tasted rotten.
When we told the waiter that the food really wasn’t to our taste and asked for the dishes to be removed, he simply took them turned away without any reaction. The service throughout the meal was slow and indifferent. And to make matters worse, they still added a 15% service charge.
Overall, it was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve ever had — poor food, poor service, and a completely unpleasant atmosphere.

Upon entry, we were greeted by exceptionally polite security staff who felt more welcoming than typical security. Inside, the wonderfully decorated space, bathed in dim lighting, offered a convenient bag and coat check. The front desk staff provided a warm greeting, and since we were early, we had the option to sit at the bar or proceed to our table. Naturally, I checked out the bar, which was pleasant with good service.
Descending the stairs, past the nicely segregated dining areas, it was impossible not to notice how busy and well-organized the venue was. At our table, the waiting staff introduced themselves and presented menus, including various options (if you're on a budget, it's wise to plan your meal in advance). The service was good, though there was a little room for improvement. The food, however, was excellent and cooked to perfection.
As I had mentioned it was a special occasion when reserving and confirming, our dessert arrived with a lovely personalized touch, which was much appreciated. Overall, we felt we got what we paid for, and I would highly recommend it.

The atmosphere was nice, although the lighting was a little dim, but that wasn't a problem. The service was excellent and professional, and the food was delicious. The first course, the dim sum, every bite tasted different and was very delicious. The steamed Chilean sea bass, it tastes delicious, you can't stop eating it. In short, dishes with no mistakes. Although a little expensive, I highly recommend it to those who love food and special flavours.

Kricket Soho

Absolutely love this busy but tasty Indian in soho.  Don’t miss out on their rotating list of curries, mains, starters and sides.  Each bite was better than the one before.  Had the venison curry which was absolutely remarkable. I want to go back immediately.

It was a lovely dinner, we had a great time. The mix of flavours and textures was incredible. It wasn't our first time eating Indian food, but these dishes were delicious.

Husband and I had a wonderful experience here sitting at the Chef’s Counter. The server assisted with the number of dishes to ensure we didn’t over order. Had amazing , krispy,  deliciously seasoned Kerlan Fried Chicken and a tender, flavorful Venison Lal Maas. We added cucumber Raita and it was the perfect bite to accompany the venison. Leek and potato Paratha was the best bread to eat with the venison and raita. Wonderful meal!

Kricket Soho is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic and delicious Indian food. The restaurant takes a small, tapas-style approach, which is fantastic for sharing and trying a variety of dishes. The menu changes frequently, so there's always something new to discover, though a few of their main dishes remain as constants.
While some of the newer dishes may not always hit the mark—I didn't find the recent Pani Puri as good as the previous rasam version—the highlights here are truly exceptional. The Keralan fried chicken, chicken gassi, and especially the tadka dal are all incredible. The tadka dal, in particular, tastes so close to what you'd find in a typical Indian home that it feels like a genuine tribute to the cuisine. Hats off to the chef!
Want to know a secret?

Family of four (2 adults and 2 kids). We stopped here for linner  and were seated right away. I was worried that with the social media buzz it would be crowded.

I’ve never heard of a thali before and am so happy to have tried it here. There was so much food that we were able to share and still feel so full. Everything was so well seasoned and the spice level was perfect. The staff were welcoming and really attentive.

Gymkhana

We visited Gymkhana for lunch and opted for the lunch set menu for two. The portions were generous and perfect for sharing, which is clearly the core part of the lunch set menu concept.

The butter chicken was rich and flavourful, and the bread basket complemented everything beautifully. The aloo chaat starter was another highlight incredibly tasty and the perfect way to start the meal.

We also tried the Goat Methi Keema and Salmon Tikka, which were slightly saltier than our preference not bad by any means, but we personally prefer a milder seasoning. The Falooda dessert was decent but not particularly memorable compared to the rest of the dishes. For that reason, we would rate the food 4/5 overall, while still acknowledging that several dishes were outstanding.

The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. They took the time to explain each dish as it was served, which added a thoughtful touch to the whole experience. We were there for a birthday celebration and to our surprise, they brought out a birthday cake and a greeting card such a lovely gesture!

Overall, we left very happy. Great food, great service and a memorable experience. It is slightly on the expensive side, but definitely worth trying at least once. Highly recommended!

We had an absolutely wonderful experience! The food was simply amazing — every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The ambiance made the whole experience even better, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that felt both elegant and comfortable. What truly stood out was the service — the staff were attentive, friendly, and went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. A truly memorable dining experience that I’d love to repeat! A very special thank you to Kishor, who made our dining experience truly memorable and worth visiting the restaurant.

Gymkhana was a good experience and some food items were really tasty as well. Loved their beet root pao and aloo chaat. The desserts were delicious too. Loved the kheer.

We were seated in the Vault dining area and the service was top notch. Vaibhav
was an amazing host and took great care of us and offered valuable recommendations too.
The quantity of the portions was also great. I did not expect the portions to be this bigat a Michelin restaurant, but was pleasantly surprised.

Why the 4 stars?

I was expecting a bit more visual appeal from both the food and drinks, especially considering the two-star rating. The plating felt quite ordinary to me.
Also, didn't feel value for money given their expensive prices.

Overall a good experience though and would recommend everyone to try once at least.

We visited on London's hottest weekend as a treat for my son's birthday and it was our first ever visit to a 2 star Michelin restaurant.
We wasn't disappointed and it was an amazing experience from the moment we walked through the door.

Service was 5⭐, attentive, but not over intrusive. We were offered to have the menu explained to us, but we all ready knew what we would order.

We ordered Gol Guppas to share and for main, it was signature Butter Chicken, Lamb Chops, Boiled Rice & Onion & Chilli Salad.

The food overall was amazing especially the Lamb Chops, which were medium cooked and so tender. Butter Chicken was mild, so we would have preferred a little more "spice heat" but that's our personal preference. Rice was just normal boiled plain rice but was okay and the Onion & Chilli Salad was fantastic too.

A big thanks for the complementary Venison Keema Naan, again lovely but very rich taste as you would expect from venison.

It was a lovely surprise at the end when my son received a Happy Birthday treat, which made our night more special.

I've seen other reviews about people saying they felt they were being rushed. But for us, that was not the case, even though it was a busy early evening service, so we felt relaxed with very friendly and knowledgeable staff 😊

We had an exceptional meal and were throughly looked after from pre dinner drinks at 42 to the full dining experience as well as a thoughtful dessert brought out as a surprise for my wife’s birthday . Our waiter helped us order the perfect amount of food, whilst making sure we had a rounded variety of dishes. We were blown away with the flavour in the dishes and also the generosity of the portions.

The sommelier was equally excellent at providing help if needed and ensuring our glasses were never empty.

The overall ambience of the restaurant was perfect,  there was a real buzz and energy to the restaurant

Golden Dragon (Chinatown)

Golden Dragon is everything you want from a Chinatown restaurant. Fast, attentive service, great food, and a buzzing atmosphere. From the moment we walked in, the table we had booked was ready for us straight away, and despite the restaurant being fast-paced and busy, we never once felt rushed. There were so many staff on hand that we never had to wait for anything—credit to the team for running such a slick operation.

We ordered the Oriental Set Menu, and the restaurant was more than happy to accommodate a swap from beef to chicken for one of our party, which meant everyone could enjoy the full menu together. A thoughtful touch that really stood out, and one they were within their right to not need to accommodate.

The meal began with a comforting chicken and corn soup, before the array of mains arrived. The standout for me was the Sweet and Sour Pork which was perfectly balanced, crispy, and packed with flavour. My friends raved about the Stir-Fried Diced Chicken with Cashew Nuts and the Spicy Szechuan Prawns, both cooked to perfection. The duck dish was also excellent, rich and tender, and rounded off the meal beautifully.

Overall, Golden Dragon delivered a brilliant Chinatown dining experience being efficient yet friendly service, excellent food across the board, and a lively atmosphere. Highly recommended, and I’ll definitely be returning.

A faultless dining experience today...came here on a Thursday as part of a trip. We regularly dine in Chinatown but so far hadn't experienced this restaurant. Filled with lots of Chinese (always a good sign..no offence meant) . We ordered a large array of dim sum and 2 a la carte dishes. Food arrived super quick and was really good one of my favourite char su pork I have ever eaten. Staff were friendly attentive and helpful. Definitely recommend this venue for both seasoned and novice dim sum eaters.

Golden Dragon in Chinatown is a lively spot known for its authentic Cantonese and dim sum offerings. The food stands out for its freshness, with dishes arriving hot and well-prepared, especially the seafood and dumplings which are customer favourites. Golden Dragon also caters for accessibility, offering disabled facilities that make it easier for all guests to enjoy their dining experience.

Stopped in after the theater for something to eat. Large menu offering a great variety of food was good, not great. Was clear the staff wanted to go home even though there was still quite a crowd inside eating.

Authentic Cantonese cuisine in quite large portions. We had fish & tofu stew and shredded duck vermicelli soup, both were tasty and comforting
Edit: we came back for dim sum, and everything was wonderful. The egg pudding is a must try!

YORI Piccadilly Circus Korean BBQ

Wonderful place for Korean food in London ! We didn’t try the BBQ but standards plates, all delightful ! The tteokbokki and the pajeon were so good, as well as the soy garlic chicken bites. We tried different bibimbap and the tofu and sea food stew, so tasty and not too spicy, which was great for us ! Plates are really affordable in my opinion. And the service is great ! I highly recommend this place !

It was very easy to make reservation on Google Maps. We were craving for some Korean barbecue and we ordered the beef selection.

Some of the smaller pieces come with very nice marble however the quantity wasn’t that much there is a piece of bigger steak, and some other that are marinated.

When we first put the meat on the grill, the grill wasn’t completely heated up so the steak wasn’t the best and no staff told us when the grill  would be ready.

On top of that we ordered a Seaford pancake, mushroom fried glass noodle and a soup with rice.

The rice wine in a bowl is a must to order. It is very delicious and with low alcohol percentage.

We had a very nice time there drinking rice wine and eating. Three of us and we had a full tummy.

It was £120 for 3, not bad for London price, especially we had alcohol.

Took my daughter here for a celebration meal We went for the set barbecue (chicken) we also got beef, 2 rices and some kimchi glass of coke and a big water total £82 lovely atmosphere, great customer service.My only downfall is if 2 people are going the tables aren't big enough apart from that I lovely experience

Popped in for a quick pre-theatre meal without a reservation, and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating - managed to seat us promptly and made it all feel easy. The service throughout was excellent.

We ordered the bibimbap and doenjang jjigae - both comforting, well-seasoned, and full of flavour. The drinks deserve a mention too: the strawberry and lychee Yori highballs were refreshing and not overly sweet.

Great spot if you’re in the area! Efficient, friendly, and reliably good food. Would definitely come back.

We came here because it was kid friendly. They had a lovely kids meal. It was rice with vegetables and egg on top, and served with a side of dumplings. Our chicken and beef dishes were delicious. We even ordered an extra bowl of kimchi because it was so good. Highly recommend, we will be back.
