Halal Restaurant

I found myself warmly welcomed by the staff, especially as a rare Hong Kong local who truly appreciates their Indian cuisine. My brother had been eager to visit this place for a very long time, and I’m glad I was able to fulfill his wish. I’ve dined at this restaurant three times, and each visit has been consistently perfect. The staff are polite and attentive, and the food is always served hot. After paying the bill, they even offer orange slices and delightful candies as a finishing touch. They also took a photo for me and brought me water without me having to ask.

Ordered veg curry , chicken Biryani with dhal and a curry set (meat curry and rice). They had 30 percent off , for £16, ain’t bad food was good quality and nice, decent flavours.

Excellent old school Indian. Used to be a regular haunt of mine when I worked in the city in the 1980's before I moved overseas. Visited for the first time in about 20 years and was delighted to find that it had hardly changed and the food and service were still exceptional.

While visiting London from the US, four locals took me out for a great bit of curry at Halal Restaurant.  The host was super funny and the service was top notch.  It's no wonder that the locals schedule monthly visits here.  Great job!

Aladin Brick Lane

Mediocre at best, and as others have said a lot of the reviews are not real. Lacking flavor and spice, and everything served warm.

Lamb samosa were dry and lacked flavor. Shrimp "Blast" was not fresh, and had a strong smell and was mealy - this was supposed to be thier award winning dish. Lamb kurma was gritty and way too sweet. The naan was quite good, but the paratha was gummy. Veggie biryani was decent.  Best part of the meal was the pappadums - although menu says thet are .75p/ea, but somehow got charged £6 for 5 (we made sure to count).

I am sure that they were well reviewed in the past, but thier best days are long behind them. Service was really lacking, and they constantly seem put out just to get us water. Too bad we didn't have Jack serve us, who seems to be mentioned the exact same way in soooo many reviews.

Finally, make sure to check your bill, they seem to just tack on charges. Our bill came to £88.65, but adding it I can't understand how.

I do not recommend at all.

Went here yesterday as a birthday treat given to me by my wife.
Food was excellent , service was very good and attentive decor a little dated but not an issue, would come here again.
Atmosphere i marked down simply because we were the only ones in there as it was early.

My sister and I had a lovely time at Aladin tonight for dinner. Jack was our server and he was polite and very friendly. The food was incredible- I have come here a few times before and I am always happy. Will definitely be back!

Maybe there are hidden gems on brick lane but in 2025 it seems that, like this place, they have all become tourist traps. The food was average at best. Also be weary you can be seated in the windowless basement which is not appealing.

Lahore Kebab House

I came with a friend on their recommendation and I loved it. It's not a fancy place though and it's popular so it does get busy and a bit noisy inside. We came on a Monday evening and we were able to get a table without waiting.

As I can't tolerate too much spice, I went for the safe option of a mild butter chicken and ordered a side of the rogni nan. The food came pretty quickly and also with a complimentary side salad.

The butter chicken tasted delicious and the rogni nan which I'd tried for the first time was the perfect accompaniment. The bread was a little thick and buttery and fairly big so it was enough to go with the curry and I didn't feel the need for any rice on top.

One thing to note is that it is a cash only establishment so do make sure you have enough cash with you.

I am still thinking of that rogni nan in particular, and I would definitely like to return.

First time to this unassuming restaurant but won’t be the last. Fantastic lamb chops, dry meat curry and butter nan. Oh and the chicken korai went down a treat as did the mango lassi. Friendly staff and a nice relaxing atmosphere. No frills but one of the best lamb meals we’ve had.

Don't let first impressions fool you at this local gem. Sure, the neighborhood isn't the most picturesque, and the interior feels like it hasn't been updated since the 1990s. But step past the dated aesthetics, and you'll discover why this place has earned its reputation as a beloved institution in the Pakistani community.

The chicken tikka masala here is exceptional – rich, aromatic, and clearly made with care. Each dish arrives bursting with authentic flavors that transport you straight to the subcontinent. The prices are refreshingly reasonable.

A few practical notes for first-time visitors: they don't serve alcohol, but the BYOB policy means you can bring your favorite beer or wine. Come prepared with cash – while they technically accept cards, the reader has a habit of being "temporarily out of order." Fortunately, there's an ATM just around the corner for those caught off guard.

In short, this isn't a place you'd bring someone to impress with ambiance, but if you're seeking genuine Pakistani cuisine at honest prices, it's hard to beat. Sometimes the best food comes from the most unassuming places, and this neighborhood institution proves that point beautifully

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality from Usman/Ozzy. His patience and honesty in explaining the dishes, and even catering to our spice level, made the experience extra special.

The Mutton Tikka was hands down the best I’ve had in London...sizzling, distinctive, and bursting with authentic Lahore flavour. Succulent and cooked to perfection, it transported me straight to Pakistan and was even better than Tayyabs, Needoo or any other Lahore restaurants.

The Lamb Haleem was equally unforgettable ...rich, mouth-watering, and perfectly balanced in flavour without overpowering spice plus generous lamb rather than daals and flour mix.

The home-made rotis, made with mixed flour, were not thick or raw...so good they facilitated taste of curries rather than fill you with thick flour!

The Saag Chicken was another standout – tender, juicy chicken enveloped in aromatic, perfectly seasoned fresh saag. What I loved most was that every dish was full of flavour rather than just heat – no “bum-burning” chilli, just pure, authentic taste.

For me, Lahore Kebab House is simply unbeatable for Indian and Lahori food in London. Nowhere else comes close! Don't waste money anywhere else. Just try Mutton Tikka here you'll be craving for more!

I recently visited this restaurant and had a great experience. The food was delicious, with excellent quality and a wide variety of dishes. In my opinion, this is one of the best places in London for Asian food lovers, including Pakistani, Bengali, and Indian cuisine.

Olives and Oregano London

The Chicken Kiev is the GOAT! I’ve been coming here for a while now and I absolutely love it every time. Consistently tasty, perfectly cooked, and full of flavour. Great service and a nice atmosphere too highly recommend!

This restaurant offers an exceptional dining experience, characterized by attentive staff and supportive management. The food is outstanding and provides great value, with generous portion sizes that are sure to satisfy. The vegetarian options are also commendable. I highly recommend this establishment.

One of the best Sunday roast meals I’ve had in my life. It was very reasonably priced too. The total bill for two of us with drinks was 28£. Will definitely go again.

Lucky Cat by Gordon Ramsay - Bishopsgate

The food was superb. We went with the £80 per person sharing menu. My personal favourites were the fish and chicken. There was plenty of food, we took some home. The service was rushed, and we had to tell the server not to remove dishes from the table on several occasions. The views are phenomenal!

Had a great dinner to celebrate the last day of our trip. The food and views are impeccable. Our waiter Yasin was very attentive and provided great service. Would definitely recommend!

The views from the Building are breath taking. The service was fast and well served. The food quality was excellent and also the food presentation.

My daughter and her boyfriend visited us in London, and of course Lucky Cat at Bishopsgate is the must go place. With perfect service as always from the staff, the best view and food in London, it’s a safe bet that it will be an unforgettable evening. We were lucky having Andres as our waiter who made it even more unforgettable, always willing to take photos and videos and sharing his knowledge about the food and the drinks.
We started with the must have Zanmai sushi platter, the Wagyu maki is out of this world. The next on the menu was the Tempura and dumplings where I want to make a shoutout for the mushroom tempura and especially the sauce that is a true sensation. For meat we had the Spiced Lamb, Ribeye and the Iberico Pork. Everything of course top notch, but the pork was the the one that positively surprised us the most.
For signature cocktails, don’t miss the Lemongrass Cha, it’s a masterpiece.
Can’t wait to be back soon again!

Dining with a view of Tower Bridge sparkling at night was magical. The food was flavorful, fun to share, and beautifully presented. Each dish brought something unique to the table – from tender meats to crispy bites and vibrant cocktails.

A huge thank you to  Ali, who went above and beyond to make sure we had the perfect evening. His hospitality made everything even more special.

Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy great food and drinks with one of the best views in London. 🌃🍽️🍸
